NEW – free tool to find the essential records for your domain name, so you can manage it more easily.
I’ve had an app on my PC for years now that looks up Domain DNS records and says where the domain is registered, where the website hosting is, and where emails are managed.
It gets used almost daily, usually when a potential client is unsure where all their ‘stuff’ is.. but increasingly being asked by other web designers to check the records for their clients or potential clients too.
So, with the help of Perplexity, I’ve built a web app that does much the same thing, except the information is easier to interpret as it attempts to give the provider name rather than just a raw DNS record. It also checks for email authentication records.
Feel free to check your domain on it and share feedback. It’s free, stores no data, doesn’t add you to any mailing list, and only shows information that is already publicly accessible…. just in a more accessible way.
