CloudHost. One launched as a brand back in 2020, shortly before S6 Connect took over Stockport-based Harvest Consulting.

There were several reasons for establishing and developing this as a brand, most of which have continued through to now. Primarily, it was a recognition of being a single point of contact for several cloud-based and hosted services, and a partnership of partners/providers with a common goal of providing quality services at affordable prices with a personal connection.

Over the past five years this has continued to grow and develop, with new partnerships in the background and new associate providers working with us to ensure that their Clients had the service they deserved.  Several designers/developers that we met through networking began moving their Client hosting services to us, or called upon us to assist with more technical issues as needed, which led to the white-label managedSupport brand being used rather than CloudHost. One or S6 Connect.

We have now registered CloudHost. One as a Limited Company in its own right, rather than just a brand name used by S6 Connect Ltd, and have begun updating all our systems to reflect this change. Over the next few months accounts will also be updated, with payments being made to CloudHost. One Limited instead of S6 Connect Ltd in most cases.

Day-to-day, it’s pretty much business as usual with no significant changes.

Services will continue exactly as they were, and customers will continue to be supported by the same people as before. There will be some cosmetic changes to the Control Panels where services are accessed and managed, but URLs and customer logins remain the same. All existing contact details also continue to work in just the same way, but we are transitioning support to a ticket-based system to help avoid things getting buried in an email inbox graveyard. Don’t worry though, anything sent to personal email addresses that needs to be logged as a ticket will be forwarded into the ticket system as soon as possible… we know it’s hard to change some habits!

We’ll be sharing more updates over the next few weeks as things continue to transition in the background.
