We use UK and US data centres that are powered by 100% renewable energy, keeping the web hosting, cooling and network infrastructure running smoothly for you 24/7.
Auto-scaling Platform
We usually talk about the auto-scaling platform allowing more resources to be available when a site is busy, but this works in reverse too. A site that is not busy will be using less resources, requiring less cooling, less electric, less emissions.
World-class Efficiency
PUE (power usage effectiveness) describes how efficiently a data centre uses energy, with most having a PUE of 1.2 or higher. Our data centres have a PUE of 1.12 currently.

It’s not just about the data centres powering the hosting though. We each have our part to play in reducing emissions, reducing our carbon footprint, being climate positive and making a difference.
Working from Home
WFH lifestyles became a big thing in 2020, but it’s nothing new. Steve’s been primarily working from home since 2003; managing and supporting local, national and international organisations. The London office address is primarily for the few bits of post we still get.Ā
All our Team work remotely and we encouraging car sharing whenever travel is needed for events or networking. Client visits are rare, but if needed they are scheduled so as to minimise travel where possible.
Ā As a UW Partner, Steve of course has LED bulbs throughout his home (including the home office) powered by 100% renewable electricity.

We’ve partnered with Ecologi to support carbon-reduction projects and plant trees – offsetting carbon now and supporting a better future.
You can find out about the Projects we’ve supported and the trees we’ve planted on our Ecologi profile. If you’re a Client of ours, or have visited one of the networking meetings we support then there should be a tree in our forest with your name on it, with more to come!
Offsetting carbon alone isn’t the solution, but it contributes to wider changes alongside our other initiatives. Reforestation of course is a long-game and the impact of this follow in the years to come.
