Facebook Feed on WordPress

If you have a CloudHost Connect subscription we can provide you with a premium plugin to display a Facebook feed on your website at a discounted rate. Whilst we can set this up to display on your site, we need you to authorise the Plugin to have access to your Facebook account first, as the feed can only be authorised by a Page or Group Owner

You can do this from the WordPress Dashboard. If you can’t find your login details for this, let us know.

Once it is installed you will see a menu item on the left for Facebook Feed. Expand the menu and click on Settings.

IMPORTANT – The plugin has been updated as of 12 July 2021 and the settings are different.
The instructions below have been updated to reflect the options in the new version of the plugin.

You may initially see a welcome screen with some step-by-step instructions. You can follow this or close it (clicking the cross in the top right). You can also access the Config settings directly at

<your domain>/wp-admin/admin.php?page=cff-settings

On the General tab of the Settings screen, click on the Add Source button (shown above) and you will then see the box below. Select whether it is a Page or a Group that you want to connect, and click the blue Connect button.

You’ll be taken to Facebook to confirm the connection between your account and the Smash Balloon Plugin.
Smash Balloon is the company that developed the plugin we use. We have used it for several years on our own accounts and have not experienced any problems.

Once that is done, if you have admin access to more than one page or group you will need to select which one(s) to use.

With the connection authorised we can take over setting up the feeds for you, or you can work through the other settings to embed the feed yourself.  There are lots of options available but in most cases the default options will be fine, and we can help with tweaks once you have connected your account. If you want to modify the settings yourself you are welcome to do so, and all the options have explanations as well as links through to further documentation.
