WordPress Backups
Managed WordPress accounts are automatically backup up regularly. Should something go wrong with the site a quick message to the support team is all that is needed for you account to be restored to a backup for you.
How often are backups taken?
The frequency of backups depends on the subscription, as set out below:
- Daily backups on all CloudHost Connect Pro accounts;
- Weekly backups on all CloudHost Connect (Lite) sites;
- Monthly backups on other accounts we have access to.
The frequency of backups can be increased if needed, subject to an additional charge.
Other backup options
Full backups can be run and downloaded from the Hosting Control Panel at any time – https://my.cloudhost.one
There are several plugins that can be installed on a site that enable you to take backups on-demand or at fixed times, but please note that these backup files must be stored off-site and not within the hosting account.
Restoring from a Backup
If you need your site restored from one of our backups please open a ticket here or via email and we’ll action it as a priority. Whilst we reserve the right to charge for restoring from a backup we try not to. Accounts that are not on an official managed plan (CloudHost Connect service) require an upgrade to restore, but we’ll advise on this before proceeding.
Backups taken from the Hosting Control Panel can be restored from the Control Panel also – https://my.cloudhost.one
Backups taken via other services or plugins can usually be restored via those services directly. We may be able to restore these for you if required, but charges would apply.
